  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Connecticut
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
Origin: Esteli, Nicaragua
Size: 6 1/2 x 44
Body-Mild to medium

Straight cut(Cuban Crafters Perfecto Cutter)
Beverage -Water
Burn-Very even and consistent due to the lonsdale vitola and good bunching and wrapping, none touch ups needed.
Predraw -Rich sweet tabacco

Flavors-
1-Sweet tabacco flavor with lots of cream as base flavor threw out

2-Spice enters the base flavors and threw the sinus with hints of rich earthy coffee

3-Leather flavor ads in with some creamy coffee building up

4-Approaching the band, a mild level of Nicaraguan tabacco sweetness ads in , spice fades out

5-Nubbed with a refreshing hint of spice coating the lips.

Nicotine level-mild to medium

Overall -
The newest in the Oliva line with a Connecticut wrapper .
The Oliva Cigar Company has the Flor de Oliva Gold premium bundle cigars with Connie wrappers and the recent NUB Connecticut line and some other lines such as Sol Cubano Connecticut , but this version seems to have more Ligero leafs in the bunch that give a lot deeper profile to it.

A very consistent cigar with even burn with rich cream threw out with lots of earthy coffee and leather turning in to the palate . Slightly less Nicaraguan sweetness then the torpedo vitola but gives more spice kick .

Not a breakfast cigar due to the complex flavors then other connie cigars but rather before lunch and threw the day and maybe after a light dinner cigar with some drinks .

Conclusion-

Nice review my friend and I totally agree with your assessment of that cigar. The Camacho Connie is another good one to try in my opinion!

Thanks guys for your comments !!!
Yes i had some too with those thin wrappers , but i moved these cigars from 65 RH to the 70 RH coolardor , then the wrapper is now little more rustic and little stronger so maybe you can try that. But i think this cigar has a strong binder so when even the thin wrapper is part off i still some them fine .

Ive got to tell you this cigar was where it nailed it home how much the wrapper delivers flavor. Evertime I Would get to the point where the wrapper was pulled off the flavor totally changed and I chucked it! Probably missed about an inch of smoking on just about every one of them.
