like all Connecticuts i've tried, this cigar starts out a little harsh. however, it isn't a bad harsh... it's more peppery than chemical. there's a nice woody and nutty flavor with the pepper on top. quite nice!

so far, i'm liking this more than most other Conns i've tried. i may be getting ahead of myself, but this and the Serie V are the best Olivas i've tried. about an inch in, the ash is fairly tight and the burn is even. the draw is near perfect. flavors are pepper and nut. those flavors remain on the finish, which is fairly long.
burn has gone a little uneven, but i'm sure it will right itself quickly. a slight grassiness just appeared on the palate. the aroma is nice and nutty.

at the halfway point, the flavors are much the same. the nutty and peppery notes are prevalent on the draw, and the grassiness sits nicely on the finish. a hint of cinnamon sweetness ties everything together nicely.

the nuttiness really is wonderful. all of the flavors interact perfectly in this cigar, and the aroma complements it beautifully.

nearing the nub, and everything has gotten smoooooth. the pepper has now moved to the finish to replace the grassiness. nut is still the most obvious flavor. the mouth feel is light and pleasant. the burn has been mostly even, the draw has remained near perfect. the ash has gotten tighter, if anything. all in all, this a beautiful medium-bodied smoked. it's on the list of possible BurgerMeister box purchases.
