  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I got one of the Oliva Serie G Double Robustos (Full Review) as part of a sampler at the RTDA. Overall I was impressed with the cigar. It burns very slow and had a nice sweet aroma to the smoke. I was also impressed with the flavor it packed a bit more kick that a typical Cameroon and had nice bite to it. Coffee, Cedar, with a hint of pepper.

The are slow burning cigars that is what really surprised me. You can add almost 20 or 30 minutes to the time it would take you to smoke a cigar of similar size.

I smoked one of these a couple days ago. I liked it better than the box-pressed. I was especially impressed by the great structure of the cigar. the ash was nearly white and super-smooth and fine grained.
