Oliva Serie V #4

Continuing with my quick reviews. Last night I was waiting on some snake food to finish thawing and it was such a nice, cool evening out that I couldn't resist a cigar...

Nice looking cigar, good feel to it. Been excited about this size since I heard it was coming out. Clipped beautifully, draw was a little tight though very serviceable. Pre-light was a rich tobacco flavor. Lit easily. Leather, wood, little nutty at times. Wonderful sweet spice through the nose to top it off. Thin burn and almost no smoke output while at rest, but when drawn it roars to life. To my surprise it took about and hour and 45 mintues to smoke. I had to set it down, go in and finish my feeding rotation, and then come back to finish (had to relight of course, but didn't seem to effect the flavors any). Looking around at a few places, this is a very value packed cigar at around $4-5! Go on, getcha some!

THIS. my local just hooked me up. said oliva was NOT on another production run, but rather releasing some stash they had held back. as they missed the first round (until i asked, politely, "WTF guys, no smaller vitolas?"), they were geeked to get a few. as was i. o)

Wow, these are nice! Very similar to the lancero. I think the V does better with a skinny ring gauge.

I agree, tuck a couple from that box away too and they will smoke great down the road!
