Yesterday I got to have my first Oliva Serie V Lancero... and WOW. What a fantastic smoke! I was a little skeptical at first because of the ring gauge (stick is 7x38), but this was astonishing.
Construction: Nearly flawless. The only negative I could find was the cap seemed to be SLIGHTLY misalligned... no big deal at all.
Burn: Flawless. Even in the heavy wind I was smoking in, it was even and consistant (sp?) the entire way. The ash did not hang on as long as I had hoped, but I attribute that to the severe wind.
Draw: My favorite part about this smoke! It was perfect for me. It had just the slightest hint of resistance which I love.
Flavor: While I'm not experienced enough to be able to pick out specific flavors (coffee, leather, etc etc etc)... I noticed the flavor did not change a whole lot - which was good, cause I really enjoyed it - until about the final third. At this time I did notice a slight pepper flavor/feel to it. I smoked this baby to the nub!
Sadly, no pics. I didn't think of it. I might have one I can add once my camera decides to cooperate with the computer.
Thanks to L8A for an awesome smoke and an awesome bomb!
