Meant to go to bed early last night, but between my daughter deciding to be a night owl and really wanting a cigar I ended up out on the porch around midnight firing this up. I chose something smaller because it was a little cooler and windy. I like the Oliva V so have been interested to give this one a whirl. I believe the blend is the same, maybe just a little more ligero and the wrapper is Sumatra which has been popular lately. Box pressed so cut thin to win on the cap. Pretty good draw with some peppery, sweet tobacco flavor. Tried to fire it up with a match, but just too windy for that so I had to break out the Ronson. Thick smoke with a fairly easy draw. Leather and pepper with a slightly sweet undertone...maybe a little cocoa also. Changing to a less peppery, slightly woody, but still leathery flavor around the half way point. Burn was good despite the breeze and ash held for miles. Toward the end things got a little muddled. Overall not a bad smoke, but I didn't like it as much as I do the original V and you could get two lanceros for the price of this petite corona.
