  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I haven't seen any reviews of these yet so I'll do a quick one.

Great looking well constructed cigar with medium to dark brown toothy wrapper.

Lit evenly and burned evenly with no need for touch ups.

Full flavored and medium strength, milder than I thought it would be.

The main flavors that I picked up on were rich leather and some very nice carmelized sweet flavors on the retrohale. I did not pick up on any major changes throughout but that was a good thing considering how good the flavor was right from the start.

The thing that made this a great smoke in my opinion was the balance. Very flavorful and moderately complex but no harshness and not a nicotine bomb. It was smooth and rich down to the nub. I usually do not pick up on the pepper that so many use to describe Pepin's and Pete's cigars, so take it with a grain of salt when I say this was not very peppery or spicy to my taste. I also have a moderate nicotine tollerance so if I found this to be a very comfortable medium strength, others may find it lacking power. If the best cigar I ever smoked was a 94, I'd give this a 92 and would add that they are ready to smoke. They may age well but they certainly do not need any rest. Thanks for reading.

Nice review! I really enjoyed the outlaw, although it is a milder stick than what I normally prefer.

My experience was pretty much the same. If it's supposed to be a similar blend to the Verocu, then I taste it. But it's not nearly as strong as the East/West Coast, etc. Not necessarily a bad thing even though I do like a strong Tatuaje. But I also like a smoother cigar with alot of flavor like this one.
