  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Padilla 's - How are they now?

Just curious if anyone has had newer Padilla's, now that Pepin and Padilla have gone separate ways. I guess more specifically, the previously blended by Pepin (Miami's, 1932's, Achilles, etc.)

I wanna get some Miami 8&11's, but haven't tried the "newer" batches.

Haven't bought any lately, but the newer blends, ie 48s and 68s, are pretty good.

I have a bunch of the old 1932 Lanceros I bought when Holt's had them half off. I smoked one last night and really did not like it. They are way harsh. No real variance in flavor, just in your face strong. I am hoping these mellow with some age.

I didn't know they had the lanceros so long ago. The first I'd seen of them was a few months back.

It's really tough to know what you've got with the Padillas. Alot of shops will have old stock of them that they are still selling through.

The NEW Achilles? Wasn't that a special edition CI cigar from a year and a half ago?

Apparently the originals weren't very good as they had them available for almost a year. I think they had daily deals with them several times for like $2 a stick. The Obsidian, though, was gone within a couple months.
