Appearance and construction: Nice looking oily wrapper. The burn and draw were absolutely flawless, and the ash is solid with a dark grey color. Unfortunately, the Padilla 32 can accumulate tar which is probably why the smoke has yellow tint coming from the tip. However, it never collected on the head, so it never changed the flavor. I enjoy a cigar that has tons of smoke on the first draw (by that I mean not having to draw 2 or 3 times to get a satisfactory amount of smoke), which was the case for the 32 lancero. On top of that, you could hardly see any smoke coming off the foot while the cigar was sitting. The 32 stayed cool and burned slow. No touch ups required. With this great construction you can walk away for a few minutes without worrying that the cigar will go out.
Pre-light: Tea leaves (or like a Virginia tobacco), oak, sweetness. Good draw.
Flavor & Notes: The Padilla 32 is a complex cigar. The overall flavor didn’t change, but there are a lot of them to be picked up. Notes that I picked up were: oak, cedar, butter, hops, and an earthy floral finish (which includes many things mixed together that you will have a hard time putting your finger on). Through the nose I picked up mainly pepper. Bitterness builds towards the end as the hops and pepper flavors become more dominant. Not bitter in a bad way, but reminiscent of a slightly bitter ale. Flavors continued to stay consistent even as I smoked this down under an inch.
Body: Full Bodied. There isn’t a whole lot to elaborate on here. The body stays consistent through the entire smoke.
Overall Smoking Experience: Perfect for anyone who wants a full bodied smoke that doesn’t skimp on flavor. This has always been one of my favorites, and normally when I revisit one of my favorites, it’s a letdown because I’ve romanticized it so much. That isn’t the case here. I love this cigar so much, and if I had one cigar to smoke the rest of my life, this might be it. Normally I enjoy anything that Padilla puts out, but this one stands on it’s own. I absolutely dreaded the end of this smoke. I didn’t want to put it down, and proceeded to smoke it until it literally burnt my thumb.
Chooch Factor: Maybe a 1/5, but even if this was labeled “Cohiba” I wouldn’t care. It’s just that good.

"Thanks for the great review! What you are tasting is when really well grown Corojo and Criollo seeds are blended from a great grower like Aganorsa in Nicaragua. Not to mention properly cured and fermented the 1932 cigars arent cheap but they are probably my favorite in the line...that is until our new Padilla Artemis hits in the spring and well the Maduro blend i have in the works dosent fail either ..stay tuned. Whatever you smoke , smoke better even if it means smoking less often."
