  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Pa,
It started out with a lot of pepper and a semi sweet extra dark chocolate flavor. It then smoothed out with the pepper as an after thought and*a creamy woods flavor up front with just a hint of dark chocolate

Smooth tobacco woodsy flavor with just a sprinkle of pepper on the finish

Continued with these flavors with a little bit of dark chocolate popping in every once in awhile

Dark chocolate is now becoming the dominant flavor

Right after the ash dropped I got a hint of sweet Carmel with the dark chocolate. Very good

A Woodsy sweet cedar flavor is now starting to develop. Not the Americana sweet but a European sweet that is more subtle and natural.

Last third it kept that woodsy sweet cedar with dark chocolate finish until the end.

Nice Review, what was your overall impression?

Was it worth the $$?

I was staring at one the other day and could not bring myself to pull the trigger...

Great review of a great cigar.

I had a very similar experience with the one I smoked awhile ago.

I forgot to put that at the end. I thought it was a good cigar that I would smoke again but not worth the money. This is the only one of the family reserves I've smoke I will try the others but will only buy a single or two just to say I tried it.

What makes you say that? Is it because it is past your comfort price range, it is mine even though I bought a box. I smoked some, gifted some and bombed with some. I'm just wondering what each person's idea of "not worth the price". Are there better smokes that you would compare to this for less? I bought some regular Padrons the other day, and there is a huge difference between the two. Just wondering. I think they are worth the price, just not a price I can afford to smoke everyday like I do.

Pa,
My main reason for saying it is I can get sticks i like better cheaper. If I can find these or orher family reserve for around 20 and was in the right mood I'd buy some more.

Great review and pics. For ME, this is a special event cigar and not something I can afford or would want to smoke all the time, given it's flavor profile. This is a great addition to my diet of Tat/Pepin, LP, and Illusiones, largely because it is different.

Again, I smoked this and reviewed and thought it WAS worth the money, despite it being a gift.

I have a birthday in January and i just might splurge and get one for that day. For me, it is that kind of smoke.

I understand Plush's question. Again, I try to think of value/quality/success, not if I can keep my humi stocked.

Again, great review.

I hope it wasn't a windy day. I think the 45th Ann Madie is an indoor cigar, ya know?
