Padron Maduro

I tried a Padron Maduro today. I didn't care for it. It burned unevenly and tasted too much like coffee. I didn't even finish it. :frownno:

1 month. I probably don't enjoy them b/c I am new.

So far my favorites are: Fonseca 5-50, CAO Gold, Romeo y Julieta 1875, La Gloria Cubana, El Mejor Emerald, and Punch.

Make no mistake - Padrons are excellent cigars (they do not make anything that I don't like), and that particular one you smoked is one of the very best values on the market.

BUT...

Since you've only been smoking 1 month, and so far your trend is towards lighter/creamier cigars, then it's no surprise that you didn't like that cigar....FOR NOW.

I bet in a year or two, you will prefer the Padron and will have a hard time smoking the things you like right now because they will be too light on your pallete.

No woories elder, try the naturals, the Padron line of cigars is one of the most consistent blends and well constructed cigars on the market. The x000 series is a great every day smoke. I just tried the elMejor Emerald you listed and it is a nice light flavored, light powered cigar. If you stick with this, you'll find there is a time and place for every stick out there. I am impressed that you are picking out the coffee flavor in a cigar you've only smoked once. That and leather were the first two flavors I could pick out. Next came choclate. Have fun
