I was reading some reviews on the regular Padron's 2000 - 5000 series and I noticed that reviews that have been around for a while (like this one in 2011) are referencing very low pricing (made me curious). It seems the prices today are over 2x what they were 10 years ago. I was just curious if anyone bought Padrons 10 years ago if they have really gone up this much in the last 10 years and if it was a price increase across the board (all cigars have doubled) or is this just something that happens to popular brands? Currently I see I can probably get 2000 for $4 a stick on auctioneer, maybe just over $3 but most sites even with the standard 20% off that is typically available are selling the 2000/5000 for $6 - $8 a stick.

Dec 2019 CPI (255) is 153% of what Jan 2010 (169) was. That's a 53% increase.

As far as cigars I've only been keeping records for a couple of years and I'm probably paying the same price per cigar by the box that I paid for 5 packs 2 years ago.

For myself I'm constantly paying much less but sites like the one in my post typically post the "regular going price" that most web sites are advertising pre-coupon. It would have been nice if Padron 2000's were just $75 for 25 to start with then you could find deals, sales, auctions, etc.

all cigar prices have gone up,a lot depends on where you live, since state taxes add a lot to the final price.
if you can get Padron 2000 to 5000 for 6.00 to 8.00 you should grab them ….
in my local these are 9.00 to 12.00 plus tax...…...

So then around $4.50 on auctioneer is probably a no brainer . That's my current Padron source after getting the 1964 anniversary exclusivos for just $8

My favorite back in the day was the exclusivo Maduro, my local was 10$ out the door in 09’. I remember the talk here a few years ago was aged londres (natural or Maduro) for a sub-100$ Padron box. Looks like they are going “full price” around 140$. They have definitely gone up a bit over the years.
