  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Anybody that knows me, knows that I play competitive paintball at major tourneys in the US, including Huntington Beach at the end of the month!

I saw this video and laughed my ass off... Good thing this guy wore a mask! Ouch!

It's that kinda stuff that made me give up playing paintball to go fishing. Guys have markers nowadays you can do your house in 45 minutes with. :p

On a less funny note I saw a guy lose an eye playing ... dumbass wanted to smoke, so he lights up sitting in a fort at the back of this gigantic field in a day-long "theme" game ... I'm sitting next to him, and just as I tell him to put his mask back on a hail of paintballs come at us ... about the 3rd one hit him right in the eye and ruptured his cornea.

What type of velocity did that guy take in that head shot. Is it as brutal as it looked? What was he feeling like the next day?

Never played. After seeing that, not sure I ever will....

Wow, that guy was just a sitting duck. And that paint ball looked like it was going a lot faster than the ones I used to play with. Granted I didn't play competitively.

What a frickn' puss I can't believe he dropped his weapon in the sand, what a dope! Rule #1 in paintball never drop your weapon in the sand, that's hours of cleaning. To answer Wade's question no a paintball will not know you over, period. That kid way over reacted. They sting but can not knock you down.

Best place to get hit in is the mask, no pain! I got hit in the throat one time while playing with some friends at a local field.

I used to play paintball quite a bit....used to use the SmartParts Shocker with the Eye. I got out of it because it was so time consuming and expensive. Now I'm in a hobby that is just as bad haha!

Yeah, a little acting went a long way on this one!!!! Max that any rec or tourney course will let you go is a 300FPS>... (unless you freeze the paint, not that I know anything about that!!!!):halfgrinw

Funny video :p

I use to play often at Hollywood sports and SC Village. Tons of fun. I loaned my Autococker+egg setup to a "friend". Never saw either one of them again =/
