  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Curious if anyone knows of something that may have happened to Palio. I'm running into some difficulty in getting a damaged cutter replaced.

My biggest problem is that the local stores here can't do a swap because I have a carbon fiber cutter and nobody has one in stock so I mailed it back to Marc at Palio and have not received a replacement or a reply to my emails to date.

I'm not sure of the size of the company and am wondering is he on vacation, has the company run into trouble or what could be causing the delay?

I'd be happy with an email response for starters.

Not sure how a cigar forum would be able to help you. Have you called their offices? Sometimes that is the only way to get things done.

I'm inquiring to see if someone here has any information regarding Palio in general, not specifically my repair. I'm wondering if others have also experiences a declined in customer service. I thought this would be a good place to start.

My concerns were that this situation is highly unlike Palio as their customer service has always been stellar. My initial contact and approval to ship back to them was on 08/19. I followed up twice with them and did not receive a response. Usually I would get an answer within a day, which is why I was wondering if something happened that I was unaware of.

Well I shot off another email today and they have just responded back. Turns out they were on the west coast doing some events. So it looks like all is well. But I'm sure you can understand my reason for concern since this has gone on for almost a month. But it looks like my replacement is in the mail. :)

Thank you

Did you e-mail Marc directly, or just the company e-mail? Marc was on the road last week. If you have no luck with a phone call, PM me your e-mail and phone and I will see if I can help.

Icehog, thank you for your offer. Marc did get back to me and yes he was traveling. Looks like all is well.

The official name of the company that makes the Palio cutter is "Brother of the Leaf, LLC". You can see that if you go to the "contact" page on their website. I don't think that company and BOTL.org have any official connnection (but I could be wrong).
