Palio cutter break in ?

I just got a Palio cutter today and its pretty stiff. Its usable but I would imagine it would want to move easier. Im sure it'll break in but is there a way for me to do it faster? Can I lube the movement rail (my term)? If yes with what?

Was it out in the cold? If I leave mine in the garage the action is really rough. Let it warm up and it's butter.

A very small amount of graphite oil will take care of a stiff cutter. After applying it wipe it off or use a blow dryer...same with regular graphite powder...I've used both and prefer the powder as it's easier to blow the powder off the cutter.

According to a interview with the palio owner no oil is ever needed or to be used on the rails. I believe the interview was in a dog watch cigar radio interview with the owner of Botl who makes Palio. Circa 2011 or 12'

If a cutter is sticking send it back or go to any palio dealer and they'll switch it out free of charge on the spot.

Also I've owned my gold Palio since 2008. It's cut hundreds maybe a 1k cigars now. A light terry cloth is all I've ever cleaned it with.

Never had a problem with one new out of box. Might want to contact company, I believe I would. Not an inexpensive cutter.
