  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

So Im tired of my cheapo black plastic BM specials. I guess palio is the way to go so I have some questions:

I know they have a warranty and that if you buy at a local BM that is a licensed dealer you can take it back there whenever for service, but online they are much cheaper than any BM around here, so being a college kid I'd like to try and save some coin by buying online, but if I have to mail it in for service I might consider going the BM route for convenience even tho it cuts into the beer fund.

Thoughts?

Does a brother have one they'd like to sell me if the online route is the answer?

buy online and usually a bm will let you return it, wherever you bought it.

So Im tired of my cheapo black plastic BM specials. I guess palio is the way to go so I have some questions:

After listenening to the more experinced guys here I've decided to pull the trigger on a Palio myself. Is $35 and change pretty much the standard cost on these or would I be able to get one cheaper on Cigar Monster or CI-MMAO? Just asking since I want to get the best deal.

Otherwise I'll just add one on to my next hearfelt order. (springing for the beads too).

Thanks for the suggestion! I just logged on and found a nice forest camo one (ending soon) for $25. The auction ended before I got registered though so I just missed it. Doh!!!! There should be plenty of opportunities in the future though.

If they are a licensed Palio dealer, they will take care of it for you no matter where you bought it at. Your warranty is through Palio, not the location where the cutter was bought. What they do 99% of the time is simply give you a new one, then take your broken one to send back.

Buy where you get the best deal. :)

Yes, just be patient. I got the camo one from CBid for $28, love it. I also got a silver one for $19. Your best bet is the one day auctions as it allows fewer people to discover it and drive the price up.
