  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Palio quality question

I think the consensus is to skip the 'entry-level' & go right for the Burlwood or Carbon-fiber.

We'll see what happens. I'll keep & use whatever they give me.

I love mine! I have had no issues with it coming apart and 10 minuets with some 1000 grit sandpaper took care to the rough edges! Great little cutter.

I seem to be having some problems with one of my palio cutters. It seems to have developed a dull edge and doesn't cut as well as it used to.. I don't know why this has happened in less than a year but it has and I have to agree the workmanship on the base model just isn't up to the mark.

Not sure what the possibilities are because of their location, but they do have a lifetime guarantee.

Now this is bad luck... Especially because of the location. But Wade is right, there's the guaranty, so whenever ye or a friend goes to the US, it should be doable.

~UPDATE~

Marc from Palio, personally called me yesterday to appologise for the delay (it's been what, one week since I sent back my cutter?)...

He had said that they had a problem with the injection-mold for the cutter (leaving flash) & thought they had corrected & sorted them all. Unfortunately, some had been shipped due to high demand. (Everything is resolved with this now on their end.)

He said he sent a brand new beauty out to me that I will be very pleased with & also included a couple of Esencia cigars to try along with it.
Now that is good customer service...

We had a nice conversation & he let slip that the composite & burlwood versions will be shipping in mid February & that there will be a new version coming out also!!! He wouldn't divulge any more detail though!

Also, he mentioned a brand new product that Palio will be producing... Again, that's all he would give!

He seems like a real good guy & really took care of me.
Marc just turned a customer, into an advocate for his company.

I look forward to getting the package in early next week - If I remember, I'll post a pic!

Just got done smoking the Esencia AngryBill sent me - Wow!
(ps- I did cut it with the brand new Palio... Perfect!)

See AngyBill's review on it - spot on!

I've heard they come from the same factory as Dion's smokes.
I believe that, because it definitely had an Illusione meets Cruzado profile.
Cinamon, carmel, coffee, etc.. I'm definitely talking box-worthy. Loved it!
