Hello,
I've had the Palio cutter for about 4 years now. It's the best cutter I've ever owned. However it has loosened up from lots of use. When it was new, there were nubs that kept it closed. They wore down and it falls open. I'm afraid someone(me) will cut his finger off. Still cuts the cigars good though
. I would like to exchange it. I know several people that purchased them recently. I noticed that mine is slimmer than the new ones that Palio makes. They are thicker and appear to be constructed better.
I cant remember which online retailer I originally purchased the cutter from. I attempted to return it to Cigars International in Bethlehem PA. They sell them on their website. A man in their brick and mortar store said they didn't sell them. When I called their 800 number, I got the same response. When I directed the associate to her company's website, she said they only sell them online. In any event, I was told that Cigars International does not recognize Palio's warranty even when I read her Palio's warranty statement. Their policy is 30 days and that's only if it's purchased directly from them. I emailed them and got the same response. Based on this, I don't think I will give Cigars International any more of my business. Rude people and poor service. When I purchase another cutter or lighter, it will definitely be from a small local shop. I sent an email to Palio yesterday about CI and am waiting for a response from them.
Other than Cigars International, I don't have another retailer close to where I live that sells these things. I'm near Easton, PA. Famous Cigar is close, but only sells Xikar. Does anyone know if there's an online retailer that will honor Pailo's warranty? I don't understand why Palio doesn't accept returns directly.
