  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Scored a Partagas 150 the other day in a trade. It's the domestic kind, not Cuban. I'm under the impression that it's a rather rare cigar, and possibly worth a bit of money. Other than that, I have no idea when they were made, if they were a limited run, if you can still find them, etc....

Please enlighten me! I estimate this cigar's size at 6.5" x 46-47rg.
Thanks for the help!!!

Run AWAY! It's a Thompson's link ..... :lookaroun

Here's a nice review LINK

Released in 1995 (and again in 2005 + renamed the 160) by General Cigars to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Partagas brand.

I've read where these are an OK smoke. The wrapper is very fragile and the flavors are quite delicate.

Very light cigar. I have seven sticks left from a box, and on occasion you'll be able to find them in a shop still, but usually way over priced. Smoke em now, because they are getting lighter and lighter every year. They are very enjoyable if you can appreciate light cigars, and if you are a full bodied guy you may not see the appeal. What size did you get? Cheers!

I got a 6.5" belicoso. From Cliff's link, it seems to be the Partagas 150 B. Thanks for the info!

Yep, I did a box split on these and regretted it for that reason. My casual smoking friends enjoyed them tho! Bastards.

I thought they had a weird taste to them, like floor sweepings or something.

What red blooded botl/sotl doesn't enjoy the taste of "floor sweepings" in a cigar?

I got in a lot of trouble in junior high school, and one of my punishments was to push around one of those big old dustmops every day after school. When I was done, I would hold the dustmop over a garbage can and shake it vigorously, invariably filing the air with dust, hair, crumbs, dirt, etc.

I can still vividly remember the taste of it, no different than the vinyl smell of the shoe dept at Kmart when I was a kid, the smell of my first girlfriend's perfume, or my dad's feet. :devilhead
