  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This 5.5×49 slightly box pressed stick offers a dark brown slightly lumpy wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, a soft construction paper like feel and a soapy aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with mild-medium bodied flavors of a very rich silky smooth aged tobacco with a deep earthy oily finish. The first third shows a slight sweetness and general earth into a short and clean finish. 30 minutes in to the 1/2 way point, flavors shift slightly to a soft caramel and light leather before going earthy on the finish. Body is mild although the mouthfeel is oily and creamy with perfect construction. Ending at 55 minutes, the last third dropped the caramel and brought up the body to a plain earthy medium flavor. http://cigarobsession.com/cigar-reviews/partagas-cifuentes-diciembre-cigar-review/

i remember my first partagas. i never smoked it, because the wrapper was both colored and flavored. it was syruppy, like molasses and came off onto my fingers. the caramel probably comes from burning sugar rather than natural sugar in the tobacco. yet another dye-job. it's yours to lose, partagas.
