  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I've been into Casa Fernandez sticks lately, so I thought I'd try this one from the same factory. It's similar to the regular Casa Fernandez line, but less earthy. Lots of spice and a rich nutty flavor. Perfect construction and burn. Starts out with spice and the strength builds as it burns. Worth a try.

Tried two torps and a toro. Good knockaround yard or fishing cigar. Nothing the least bit objectionable, but I'm not going to recommend them highly. Smooth, with med body, med strength. They are packed a little bit light and can get hot and burn fast if not careful.
If I can continue to get them for less than $3 on cbid, I will. If they start creeping above that, I'll pass.

Smoked my first torpedo last night. I was really impressed. Based on the reviews I wasn't expecting much but it kept my attention well. Was pretty similar to the Padilla 1932 to me with a tad less sweetness and a little more spice.

These can be had pretty regularly at about the $2 price point on Cbid lately. I'm still waiting to smoke one, but they are the prettiest $2 smoke I've seen. Tobacco from Fernandez and rolled at Raices Cubanos, I gotta believe they will be at least "ok".
