Just kidding, but for real I am equally pleased and disappointed these are as good as they are. Pleasure to smoke but going quick. So to get down to some tangible details in this review...
This was and continues to be a beautiful cigar. Dark, chocolatey brown wrapper, gleaming with an oily sheen. The aroma prelight was a mix of sweetness, earthiness, a little spice, and a fleeting whiff of barnyard. It's one of those cigars I could go on appreciating the aroma of for a while before actually putting flame to it. Clipped effortlessly and reveals a perfect draw. Cold draw flavours were a wonderful spicy sweetness, some woodiness, and a hint of pepper. Things have mingled quite well since the first one I smoked. Took my time, methodically bringing the foot to a glowing orange with some kitchen matches. Oh yes, I am reminded these things put out some smoke! Wonderful spice/wood/little bit o' sweetness flavor profile. As the first third wore on the sweetness and spice components kicked it up a bit. The leather started to come into play around the second third. It steadily ramped up until in the last third it was the main player, but it was balanced nicely by the spice, sweetness, and woody flavors. The burn was sharp the whole way through and the ash held like a champ. Overall these have become very, very nice smokes and everyone involved deserves to feel proud of this creation.
I hope everyone got the chance to smoke something nice today!
