  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of these beauties yesterday and could not wait to fire it up...so here is a quick review! And sorry about the lack of pics...wifee took the camera with her today:cursing:

Appearance:
Overall the cigar looks great! There are minimal veins and just one sun spot. The stick has a slight box press to the actual size that gives it a little more personality.

Prelight:
The draw is perfect. Not tight what so ever. Rich flavors of tobacco, cocoa and a tad of spice.

1/3:
Once I lit it the cigar produced great white clouds of billowing smoke. But it is not overpowering at all! It is a nice light smoke with a bit of spice and cocoa. A great flavor profile...this is right up my alley. The smoke continues to billow as the spice picks up! This is a delicious stick indeed!

2/3:
One the second third the spice dropped off a bit and the rich flavors of tobacco and bits of cocoa came back through as the stars! The smoke is still billowing out of this like a locomotive and I am still in love! Still have yet to touch up or re-light the cigar. She is a champ!

3/3:
The smoke just continues to billow and the flavor profile continues! The spice picks back up a tad and starts to really round this cigar out!

Overall the stick was GREAT! The only question that is left is how many boxes are left and where do I get another $125!!!! This is a great stick and I have to thank all that were involved! A great choice as a representation of this great site! I had no doubts in my mind that this was going to be good...but Abe did us right and make it great! Thank you brother! And thank you Tim for the opportunity to participate in the tasting!

So moral of the story...buy a box before I find 125...or they are all mine:inlove:

Thanks for reading! Nick

Nice review Nick!

I cannot wait to try one! I might have to start rounding up another $125 for a back-up box!

Great review. Thanks...BUT where are the pics???

After being introduced to the PDR 1878 Capa Madura series a week ago I'm dying to get my hands on anything else they offer. After blowing through what I picked up, minus one who is gonna get some age on it, I made a call to my local B&M hoping to reserve everything they had in stock...I was promptly told SORRY they are all gone.
