Pepin Garcia: Cuban Classic: Perlas

Has anyone tried one? I never put much thought into them cuz they've never really been around in shops.

The other day when I was at a local B&M I came across them and figured I've give the 4 1/2" x 40 stick a try. Well the next day I went back and got a box. It's a great cigar for car rides, or maybe those cold winter nights. About a 30-35 minute smoke, with great 'Black Edition flavor' - wood notes for the first 2/3s, leathery towards the end, with steady Pepin spice throughout. These are my new "take-along" smokes!

I love the 1932 perlas (if I can get them cheap on Cbid). I've been meaning to give these much more affordable DPG Blacks a try.

I like the Robusto and Figurado...and now the Perla. For some reason the Toro gives me a metallic taste.
