I know there's not that many BOTLs on here that live in the Seattle/Tacoma area, but in case you don't know (or remembered), Pepin Garcia will be at Smokey Joe's tomorrow night from 5-9pm.

Yeah too bad you couldn't make it... I just got home and I had a great time. I actually had more quality time talking to Pepin (with the help of his sales mgr of course) tonight than I did in the 4 days down in Esteli! LOL It's great just listening to his stories about cuba and his many ideas... I had a great time.

I printed out the 8x10 group picture of us in the fields and had Pepin sign it. I think I ended up printing the one Dan took... was a great shot of all of us in the tobacco field!

Next time you're in Seattle, make sure to look me up!

He said he most definitely would make hybrid cuban/nicaraguan cigars if the embargo was lifted. I also asked him what he thought of Robaina's grandson Hiroshi growing tobacco in Equador and if he thinks they are or will be combining tobacco and he said most definitely yes. He doesn't know if they already have done it, but said of course they will be soon if not already. He said Cuba is already using other tobacco but no one knows it yet.

No Nic couldn't make it tonight...he's working in Yakima for a couple weeks. Pepin will be in Yakima tomorrow for an event so Nic will be showing his mug there.

I met up with Nic and Barone a couple weeks ago when Pete Johnson was in town though...
