  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Binder: Nicaragua
MSRP: $6.50

I had this cigar aging for about two months. I received it in a bomb from Shuckins.
I'm not a huge fan of conneticuts, but i figured i'd give it a shot anyway!

Prelight Draw: I tasted flavors of sweet grass, nutmeg, cinnamon, and a hint
of pepper. I punched this cigar and the draw was effortless.

1st 3rd: I lit up the stick and immediately tasted a blast of pepper and toast.
The burn line was razor sharp. the ash was a light grey and formed very nicely.
There was a lot of smoke produced that was oily and very creamy on the finish.

2nd 3rd: The smoke that's being produced is very smooth. Flavors of cedar,
toast, and pepper are present in the retrohale. The smoke is oily and very
creamy so it's very consistent at this point.

Final 3rd: I get the flavors of wood (mainly cedar), toast, and now coffee is
kicking in. This cigar finishes with a perfect blend of cedar and coffee. I didn't
enjoy the first 10th Anniversary Champagne that i smoked (A toro at my local b&m)
but this one was a gem!

Smoking time: Approximately 1hr

Thanks for the review.

The first Champagne I smoked didn't exactly blow my socks off. A dud perhaps. I'll revisit this particular cigar.

Yea I'm with you on the Conneticut wrappers and these Perdomo's. I really wanted to enjoy this cigar but it just wasn't for me.

Thanks for the review. But like you I’m not fan of a Connecticut wrapper, but a great review Bro.
Those of you who don't like Connecticuts, why not? Is it that they're too mild in terms of flavor or in terms of strength?

If it's a flavor thing, here are a few Connies I'd recommend that are full-flavored smokes:

Cabaiguan
601 Black
Perdomo ESV

Those are my Top 3 Connecticuts, (followed by the CAO Black and Tobacco Baez (OG)) and they are NOT mild sticks--especially the 601, which is full of pepper!

Nate what's your opinion of the Arganese Uno?
