  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

so i just got home from meeting Pete, and hanging out with the guys at J N J cigars. INCREDIBLE time. i could type and type about how fantastic the shop was, how great that shop was, or how fantastic it was talking to Pete about the future of the monster line, or the dozen or so other topics i had the pleasure of speaking to him about, it just plain wouldn't do it justice. all in all pete and everyone at J N J cigar truly made my summer.

and one more thing, smoking my first tat black, while sitting next to pete, shooting the shit was damed awesome!

thanks again to pete and to J N J cigars for a truly fantastic event!

photos up!

got me a box of el truinfador! rest assured daniyal, i was not coming home empty handed!

Nice meeting you tonight man! Thanks to your original post I got to meet Pete and hang out as well. Without it, I probably wouldn't have learned Pete was in town until too late! Getting 3 Black labels for free with a box purchase was just pure icing on the cake!!! I didn't smoke mine though as I'll be saving those for later, but I did smoke a good Cabaiguan Maduro... tasty!

Pete was super cool just hanging out telling stories and I appreciate him taking the time to fly up. He only came to Seattle as a favor to the shop owner... good man.

Nice swag! It sounds like it was a pretty sweet event.

I read on Facebook that some jackass there ATE a Tat Black Robusto. Nothing like wasting a premium, hard to find stick. :sadcry:

Yeah, that happened after the official closing time and most everyone left. Before this happened, he asked me how many boxes I bought, said one, and then he proceeded to give me crap that I only got 3 Black labels. He was joking and said since I wasn't a fan that I should give my Blacks to him.

Wow, then I read on facebook later that he actually ate one of his!?! :wtf:

that feeling is mutual, he spoke very highly of you as well, it was a trip people knowing me from here (including pete!) it's nice to know that there are guys like that out there in the cigar business.

after last night, i'll tell you, wierd as it may seem to those who haven't met pete, i'd rather have him as my neighbor than making my favorite cigars. he's a fantastic drinking/smoking buddy!

He might not be such an idiot after all. I'm not saying I would do it, but from reading other things it sounds like a bet was laid down for him to eat it and received a full jar of Tat Blacks from Pete in return!!! That's a pretty nice reward, but how was he feeling the next day with a nice Black Robusto sitting in his belly!?! :sadcry:

Trust me gentlemen he was sick as a dog next day. I think Pete was too nice, I would have made him eat an "A" size Tat black for a whole jar of blacks. Robusto, anybody can eat a robusto size...LOL To AlohaStyle and n.olson, stay tuned for surprises in the near future.
