  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

So last night, at the Don Pepin event--which I posted about earlier today--in Arlington (a DFW suburb) Pete Johnson showed up to surprise Pepin. He was able to do so because he was in town for an Tatuaje event tonight.

The event was held at Town & Country Cigars in Euless (another DFW suburb). I've never been to this particular B&M and I gotta admit, I was really impressed with the place. A small storefront in a strip center opens up to a nice, small shop with a well-stocked walk-in humidor--but around the corner is where the real gold is at: a sweet assed club!

Here's Pete's back. I had to take a pic of the La Riqueza t-shirt. I love that one; it reads "The Riches, Bitches"

Here's a shot of the front side of the room. You can see the member locker area through the glass, and behind that is the walk-in humidor. Behind me (not pictured) was a wall-sized TV projection screen.

Some people enjoying the evening (I've met the guy on the left before, but I can't remember his name). This is the back side of the club room.

And so yeah, in the back corner, there's a full bar--in a cigar store! I've not seen a bar this impressive at any other DFW area cigar store. Usually you'll just find a keg of beer and some plastic cups. Not at Town & Country--these folks do it up right!

So yeah, here's the real reason I went: to buy cigars and get some event swag. I bought a box of red label tats and a single La Riqueza and got a Tatuaje cigar cutter, a Tatuaje trucker har, (2) free red label Tats (bundle wrapped and cello'ed, not out of a cedar box) plus the 3-pack of event-only Tat blacks. My total expenditure: $143 after tax.

I wish I could have hung around but I was only driving through the area on my way to a different herf with friends. Hell, I didn't even KNOW about the event until the night before when Pete mentioned it. Figured I could always use more Tats--and freebie Tat blacks. :smokingbo
