  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Ok so going over some pipes I have that were in need of some TLC. Cleaning it up some i start looking over the pipe I try and find a mark of who the maker is. All I can really make out is 1809 on bottom and 608S next to the stem. Then I get out the loop and look I make out faintly Killarey. Before I could see something but couldn't make it out and under Killarey it say Perterson Product.. I don't know when this pipe was made. On the other side with much looking and trying to make out what it says. It says "London Made over England" So odd thing is that looking up info one could assume that the Pipe was made in the 18 hundreds. but I don't think that is the case. After much searching I find that the London Made / England was in production from 1899 through 1970. My guess would be that it is from the early years. Sadly because of the war and how much damage was done at the factory loads of paper work was destroyed.

Dang it. I keep saying I don't have a Peterson or Dunhill and now I find all this time I had one  . Anyone have any information on this pipe. I don't know what the 1809 on the bottom is for. I can't find anything. I do see that they still sale a pipe with that name but don't have the shape 608 the 606 is close. However looking at the pipes I don't like the colors offered. to me it looks like a cheap pipe not even showing the Briar grain. oh well. Any info would be great

Thank you
James

Took the first 2 last night sorry I don't know why I didn't add them Brain *$&#. Anyway there is no markings on this pipe that can be seen by the camera besides part of the 1809 and part of the 608S so i just took them pictures to add to the 2 I took last night. The Peterson is very hard to see even under 10x mag with a Jewelers loupe
