  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I’m hosting an event at the lounge where I’m a member for 75-100 people. Trying to have a wide variety for all tastes but mostly novices. Thus far, I’m bringing: 1 box MF Connecticut robusto, 1 box Undercrown Shade robusto, 2 boxes Oliva Serie V Melanio Figurado, 1 box of SD Jacobs Ladder, 1 box of La Historia E-III, and 1 box of 1926 no.90 naturals. Any thoughts?

I was thinking:
Warped Villa Sombra Mojito
Perdomo Champagne Corona Extra
Arturo Fuente Short Story
Undercrown Maduro Corona Viva or Sun Grown Corona
Oliva V / V Melanio / V Melanio Maduro
Foundation El Gueguense Corona Gorda
MF Le Bijou 1922 / MF The Judge
Liga Privada No. 9 / T52

And if you're going super high end, maybe some FF Opus X, Padron 1926 (don't have to go with the 90th) and 1964.

Nice concept, choices and suggestions.
I second luminosa, and would recommend charter oak maduro.
Really curious in this kinda scenario how the novices would be directed to sticks most likely to suit them?

I hope your selections are appreciated by people unfamiliar with cigars. Knowing that there will be a lot of newbies have you considered something like an AJ sampler? Will you write out a description of each cigar to help them select smokes?

I’m thinking about putting a description next to each box pulled from some of the online review sites. Totally open to suggestions. And thanks for everyone giving recommendations. Initial purchases were of stuff I’ve tried but very willing to try short story or others.

Be nice to have one choice from each main flavor profile, which seems like the direction you're headed. Might add a laranja or Camacho corojo, or something else with a little citrusy twang.
Fuente has their own distinctly Dominican flavor profile so they're a good choice. And short sticks would be good in case people get something that doesn't agree with them.
