Well its -15 here today so seemed like perfect weather for a smoke :nodlaugh:
Pre-Light: Nice firm reddish brown Habano wrapper slightly veiny appearance. Construction in great and the prelight draw reveals spice, leather and cedar. Draw is a tad bit loose.
1/3: Right off the back this smoke hits you with a ton of spice. I think this may be the spiciest cigar I have smoked. More of a red pepper then black. Once the spice hits you a hint of leather and cedar sneak there way in. Nice tight ash and the burn is ok.
2/3: While not as spicy its still around. Almond has entered with the cedar and leather now. The burn is having some issues, not sure if its the cold but it needed a touch up. Lost the ash about 2 inches in.
Nub: Lots of spice again. Burn needed another touch up.
Final thoughts: This is a very spicy cigar with nice notes of cedar, leather and almond. Burn could have been better but it could have been me. Im not a big fan of Habano wrappers but this one was nice. Really could have used a nice IPA to balance out the spice with some hops.
