Pinolero by AJ Fernandez

I have a fiver of figurados in my wishlist at Atlantic...getting itchy. Anyone have an opinion? I've seen a few reviews, but any botl feedback is always good.

I've tried it. Pretty solid smoke. Similar to the Fernando Leon I'm smoking now, just less sweetness. Worth a try IMHO.

Thanks John. I am a little worried about the 8 to 9 dollar figure for the pinolero. It's a value thing

I tried it, thoughts are in my first post. Just thought you might want to try before you buy a bunch due to the price.

I had one of the figurados and thought it was great. Not as strong as many make it out to be, IMHO, but still plenty of flavor and body. Doesn't linger like the ovals, it's sharper, more crisp. Looking back at my notes:

1/3: lots of pepper and spice.
2/3: mellows out to some nice flavors, lots of Sumatra flavor, I always get popcorn.
3/3: some nice caramel and coffee.

Very Good! I smoked several last year at their booth! I've had the robusto and the toro.
It's a great morning and afternoon stick. Very flavorful!

I had one. For the price, I was under impressed. It was a decent enough smoke but to me not worth the dollars.

My 2 cents. They are far from bad, but they are a little weird. They have a brutal spice to them that I find almost bitter. At the same time they also have very pronounced flavors of hay and honey IMO. Its just sort of a weirdo combo. FWIW I was smoking the coronas.

I missed a special on these for $4/stick, ccom or ci, can't recall. I'll get them next time they're on special, though. I love AJ's stuff.
