Pipe Stem??

well i mainly smoke cigars how ever i do smoke pipes from time to time. i have a savinelli roma pipe 623 and I've damaged the stem so can i buy a stem or should i just throw it away???

You can DEFINITELY buy a new stem! There are a lot of people around that will sell stems for it. A great place to check is a pipe carver named Mark Tinsky. He does restoration work for a good price, and very fast turnaround. I'll find his contact info for you.

I also recommend Tinsky for stemwork. HE can hook you up with a nice replacement stem for far less then the cost of a new pipe.

Google "tobacco pipe stem repair" and you'll find lots who'll do it. Shop around and compare prices but be sure to check references on here before committing.

It may be easier for you to find either a local Savinelli dealer, or purchase a replacement stem directly from Italy/EU

If you dare to, mail the pipe back to Savinelli in Italy. They will put a new stamped stem on for a reasonable cost.
