  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Anyone use the plastic baggies that appear to have inidividual "slots" or "fingers" for each cigar? Is it worth using these or should I just go for the standard old sealable plastic sandwich bag?

I tried to post a link to another thread on this site that talked about these bags, but got the error message "You are only allowed to post URLs to other sites after you have made 5 posts or more". But, if you do a search on this site and use the key words "5 finger cigar bags", you'll find the same thread I did. It's got contact information for at least one company, but I didn't read all seven pages.

I like the 3 finger baggies. Then when you sell a fiver, you can include a bonus by using 2 baggies.

I've always used old B&M bags w/ a Humidipack or Water Pillow when shipping and never had a problem. Where do you get those "finger bags"?

I would like to get some of these as well, the link posted above is no longer relevant. I did a google search as well with no luck. Anyone know where to get these?

I have used regular five finger size bags without the partitions, but for shipping purposes i would rather have the partitions to protect the sticks a bit better. Apparently these things are hard to find.

If we can find a good online source for these, maybe we can edit the "General Shipping Tips" or "Cigar Shipping Guide" stickies to include that information. Just a thought.

gargoyle cigar was the company. i see no signs of life on the net. they might be gone
If only one of the site sponsors were to carry them...now where would we ever find one of those?

j/k with you.

Sounds like they are difficult enough to find that maybe a group buy is in order if there is enough interest. Strange that its this difficult. Doesn't seem like *that* much of a specialty product.

I called Gargoyle just yesterday. They no longer carry the 5 finger bags because they are trying to sell out of the 3 finger bags they have had forever. Before I disappeared for 3 months I was going to get a group buy together for these and am looking into this now. I mailed DJS134 yesterday because he should have left over bags. I can take the lead on this but give Dan a few days to get online and reply or I will start a thread and start taking orders. 1000 3 finger bags are only like 35 bucks plus freight to give you an idea of their cost.
