Also plum generally is like a light dusting all over the cigar. Mold will affect spots, and then spread. Also Mold is 3D and will look like fuzz on your cigars. Mold is not the end of the cigar, just dust it off and smoke it. If you thik you have plume on a cigar, it's probably mold, I say that because mold happens more often than plume does. Also it may take 3-5 years of rest for plume to becoem visible and evident. After a long time plume will become 3D as well. The Robert Burns I have from the early 50s are covered in crystals of it.
