  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Predict this weekends playoff blowout and closest games!

Packers cover easily at the frozen tundra by double digits. Josh Brown battery operated pants warmer malfunctions and zaps his nuts during a field goal attempt causing him to miss a chip shot (now all will say he missed a nut shot in the following years).

Colts cover easily in a snoozer of a game, over before halftime. Manning tosses a ton of TD's.

Patriots win, but only by 4 and come from behind again last 2 minutes on the arm of Brady.

Giants win by 1 on defensive effort. Strahan cries on national TV and Tiki Barber still picks on Eli even after the win.

Pats will shut down MJD. Then what? So Pats win.

Colts (with marvin).... chargers (no gates and with rivers :))... so colts... clear advantage... as they will concentrate on LT with ease.

Packs vs. Seattle... TOughe one... I suspect The Favre will Riegn Victorious over his previous pupil hasselback.

Giants... Tough... Imi biassed... But I think they will win. Still , pray that Simpson is in the stands, as our chances will improve a bit.

I do agree with steve, Eli will get no credit, and still be ridiculoud.

Hes not great... but he does not suck... hes above average when he has recievers catching the good ones he throws once in a while.
And for some reason, when the game looks lost, and there is only like 12 minutes left, he gets of on throwing a touchdown or two.
Last year I would have said he does not belong in the league... but this year... ill take him over a number of qb's floating around the league.
Don't get me wrong, He's probably the worst QB in the playoffs this year.... but he might make one more round before sending the giants home.

I think Eli has grown up this year. He may surprise all of us. Besides Romo is probably "worn out" from all the extracurricular activity he probably had in Mexico with Simpson, and were not talkin with OJ!!!

Got to go with the Pack, the Frozen Tundra is going to affect the Seahawks. Weather is going to be light snow and about 30 degrees. I think it will be a close game. Holmgren knows Farve, but still have to give the edge to the Packers. Final score Packers 24 Seahawks 21

Other games, got to pick the Giants to upset, just because I despise Jerry Jones, and the Cowboys. TO plays 1st qtr, reinjures ankle. Tony Romo throws 3 Int's, sacked 4 times. Final score Giants 31-Cowboys 24

Tom Brady blows out the Jags D. Pats 45- Jags 13

Manning has so-so day, Colts D has trouble stopping LT, but Colts still end up on top. Colt 34- Chargers 28 in OT

GB: Seattle is the perpetual great pretender. No way will they beat Favre at home. Did anyone see Rod Woodson on NFL Network when they showed Seattle's kicker talking about his heated pants? "That's why we don't talk about kickers on this show!"

NE: The Pats live for the playoffs. They have vast experience and proven success in the playoffs. They went undefeated in the regular season. They have more records than god. Does anyone honestly think they will melt down now? On NFLN, I watched two previous JAX/NE games. In each, MJD had a few good runs and Garrard/Lefwich had a few good throws. But NE pretty much marched downfield at will and that was when Brady had only Caldwell and Graham as receivers.

IND: SD went to one SB (and lost). They won a playoff game in 1994 and again in 2008. They have a world-class RB (who maybe on a downhill slide) who gave them a great season in 2006. There ya go. Franchise history in three sentences. (We won't talk about Fouts because Leaf cancels him out.) Indy has the 2nd best back QB in the NFL. They've won in the playoffs and are current SB champs. Manning had a rare off day throwing six picks and SD still barely beat them by 2 points in November. Look forward to watching Tomlinson weep in the post-game press conference.

NYG: Yes, Eli does suck. If it weren't for nepotism, he'd be a 2nd stringer at best. The team could be top-tier if they had an equally talented QB. However, he is improving and played very well against NE and TB. Combine that with Owens' bad ankle and Romo's overdue crash-and-burn and we'll see a NYG win.
