I was just checking some prices online for a box of WOAM's and was blown away by some of the prices I was seeing.

I know Opus X and Anejo's are at the top of the list when it comes to gouging and it's not uncommon to see them at the $10-$20 level and sell out faster than I can fart...now ESG's are fetching $25-$30. Where do you think the price is going to top off at for an ultra premium cigar? Don't even get me started on the Zino Crown Scepter Crib set or that Gurkha Majesty cigar for $150

What's the most outrageous price seen for a cigar?

C-Bid counts...list away!

I was just thinking about that also. Recently Ive seen:
Graycliff Espresso Presidente's - $600 box of 25 = $24 stick
God of Fire Robusto's - $250 box of 10 = $25 stick
Padilla Miami 8&11 Salomon's - $115 for 5 = $23 stick
Gurkha Beast Maduro's - $750 box of 30 = $25 stick
Gurkha Titan - $850 box of 31 = $27 stick

I just received a new catalog from a vendor and these were some of the prices. They tend to be higher on most of their smokes anyway but I guess someone is paying these prices?? These kind of prices seem to be getting more common for "elite" smokes. Where it will top off depends on what someone is willing to pay. I know it won't effect me either way!!!

Absolutely amazing.

The most I have seen a cigar priced at, in person, was $45 for an Opus...the churchill or DC sized one...I can't remember the name.

Now that's exactly what I'm talking about. I don't see how you could enjoy a cigar that costs more than a nice porterhouse steak!

Stunning, absolutely stunning! Let me see, which shall I take, the above; or a box of 1997 Punch Punch or 1999 BBF's for ~$240, delivered? Hmmmmm, tough choice.

If people buy them, why shouldn't they sell them for that much? Yes it's a ludicrous amount of money, but they are in the business of making money, they happen to use cigars as their means toward that end. If people buy them, why not charge that much. I wouldn't pay anywhere near that amount of money for those cigars, but that's me. I don't begrudge them selling for those prices, I just tell them no way will I buy them. Let the buyer beware!

I have seen the prices creeping as it seems a small cigar boom is taking place. More people are now smoking cigars which is ironic as the anti-smoking is at full swing. First you had the Fuents and Padrons producing premiums and now there are many manufacturers making them.
