Drew Estate NotRex
Review 2-C
Construction - Another cigar with great construction and a triple cap. The veins are small and the cigar is packed very tight with a nice dark brown milk chocolate wrapper.
Pre-light Draw - I get mostly a pepper, barnyard and hay.
1/3 - Started with straight up pepper and espresso. The pepper is the kind that coats your entire mouth and hits the back of your throat. Definitely will be an interesting smoke and it already feels a little familiar. I know I'm gonna like this one already. The burn started to get a little wonky but isn't bad. I couldn't care less until it starts to ruin the smoke.
2/3 - This one is hitting all of my favorites notes with me. This portion still has strong pepper at the forefront but has backed of just a bit and the chocolate has ramped up entirely. I am digging the expresso in the background still as well. The burn is still a little wonky but isn't causing a problem so who gives a sh*t.
Last 3rd - The last third is pretty fantastic. The pepper is slight with chocolate and espresso at the forefront. It's definitely one of my favorite profiles in a cigar. The nicotine is definitely strong with this one, I can feel it starting to kick me in the nuts.
Scoring:
Overall Appearance: 18/20
Lighting and Burning: 12/15
Construction: 26/30
Taste Properties: 34/35
Score - 90
Nicotine - Full
Flavor- Medium to Full
I am guessing I've had this one before. I am a huge fan of AJ and I am guessing this is one of his lines. If not it something similar and I'm hoping it's in a good price range.
Warning -
A nipple shot to level this off...
Thanks for the cigar to review!
