  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Does anybody use one of the Prometheus Churchill series? If so, how long have you used it and how many cigars do you smoke per day? If you smoke a lot of cigars, have you had any problems?

Thanks,

Jason

Not me but I highly recommend a S.T. duPont Xtend. I average 1 stick per day I guess for 3 years and NEVER has the lighter failed me one time.

I hate to say it, cause I really like the Prometheus lighters in regard to style, but their quality is just above Colibri IMHO. Get a Dupont if you want quality and style.

I have had a xikar lighter for years, along with a blue rhino, and a ronson all torch all several years old. I use them all the time. all costed me less then 30 dollars. All work everytime first click.

If you are looking for a high quality soft flame flint lighter, I believe the old boy lighters are what you might be looking for. Kind of more of a pipe lighter but works well for cigars too. Good sturdy construction.

I have heard the same thing

I just got a colibri belicoso flint dual soft flame lighter and I have had no problems with it and it was cheap ($20 on ebay) I want to get a Dupont some day but now the colibri and my fleet of ronsons are doing the trick

Thanks guys. I ended up buying a Colibri Belicosso on ebay. It set me back a whopping $29.

I rcvd my lighter this afternoon. Wow, I wish I would have bought this a long time ago. The soft flame is elegant, it is compact, and the flint roll ignition is VERY smooth. For $29, I may have to buy a few colors.

Since when did soft flames become the choice for cigar lighting? Nice lighter though! Jason, I thought it was you that said you'd never own another Colibri?
