  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

First and foremost, I am very sorry for not getting this out any sooner, lots of changes, not all good, but not all bad either. Again, thank you Jim for this opportunity to do this, so far, I think this was the most fun review I've done.
Smoke time 1 hour 35 minutes
Start 0600
Finish 0735
Construction great construction, but considering the time of day I did this, not too easy to see with the poor lighting in the garage. Appears to have a couple of veins, but otherwise, pretty smooth with a very slight sheen to it.

Prelight draw is very open, with not much flavor, or none that I am able to discern.
Lit with a standard triple flame torch, a FULL lighter, that's right Rasshat, a full lighter

First lit draw, I get a mouth full of creamy pepper like smoke that leaves a nice aftertaste in my mouth.
First third, the burn is impeccable, and flavor is that of a mild hay and very mild capsicum, but with an intense, almost unbearable retrohale, wow!
Second third, coming into the second third, the burn line is just phenomenal.
I start contemplating life, the universe, and everything while smoking this third, the flavors are in a similar vein to the first third, except for a step up in pepper both in draw and retrohale. As I finish up this third, hoping that wherever this cigar takes me, I still know where my towel is.
Third third transitioned nicely with a more muted retrohale that was less intense, but still peppery
Fourth third. While contemplating the beauty of the fjords of Norway, I start getting something that I can only describe as fresh baked bread from my favorite restaraunt, Miliways, that is served with the Dish of the Day, an Ameglian Major Cow.
Fifth third. Pulling into this mostly harmless fifth third, the fresh baked bread notes are still there and are as tasty as anything, the pepper notes are still evident, but the burn line is starting to get wonky. Maybe a bit more than it should. I haven't been paying it the attention it needed while writing this, so, I take a couple of flavorful draws and flip the wonky side down in hopes that it will correct itself, which it does.
Final thoughts. Wow, just wow!!! This cigar was a trilogy of flavor in five parts that I nubbed
it regretfully distracted me from the task at hand of taking the needed pictures.

Scoring
Overall appearance 18/20
Lighting and burning 12/15
Construction 27/30
Taste 34/35
Score 91

This was a fun review that only true literary geeks will understand, @javajunkie I'm looking at you...

Thank you again Jim for this opportunity.
