stopped in a liquor store in kc that i found out was managed by an old classmate of mine. went to look at their bourbon selection and asked him about stagg and pappy. he said they got limited supplies of each and of course had none right now. so he suggested a bottle of blanton single barrel. it looks good, and he gave me a discount on it. we shall see!

Bob you'll like the Blanton's for sure, enjoy! Nice vanilla and caramel notes, typical of a good bourbon.

I am a huge fan of the regular Buffalo Trace (and of course the Antique Collection). Haven't had Blanton yet. Also, the regular WL Weller (cheap stuff with the green cap) is pretty damn good, at least on a college student's budget!

the other choice was a jefferson reserve that was really highly rated. cost more as well, though.
