I stopped into Cigars International today. Smoked some stogies while there and took some pictures with my phone. I apologize for their crappy quality.
Liga Privada No. 9
The Liga Privada No. 9 is medium in strength and featured a perfect burn and great, smooth draw. Flavors of espresso and chocolate hit the palate, accompanied by some slight spice. At around $10, it's worth every penny. While not as potent or delicious as the T52, it's a damn fine smoke that I'll be buying again. Highly recommended.
Alec Bradley Prensado
I smoked the torpedo vitola which retails for a little over $12. The Prensado is a full-bodied smoke with great flavors. It's heavy on the leather and spice in the first third. Sweet tobacco flavors mixed with pepper dominate into the second third. One problem however -- the damn thing wouldn't stay lit. It went out three times and required multiple touch ups. The flavors of the Prensado are right up my alley, but the erratic burn really turned me off. For $12, there's better cigars out there.
