  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I stopped into Cigars International today. Smoked some stogies while there and took some pictures with my phone. I apologize for their crappy quality.

Liga Privada No. 9

The Liga Privada No. 9 is medium in strength and featured a perfect burn and great, smooth draw. Flavors of espresso and chocolate hit the palate, accompanied by some slight spice. At around $10, it's worth every penny. While not as potent or delicious as the T52, it's a damn fine smoke that I'll be buying again. Highly recommended.

Alec Bradley Prensado

I smoked the torpedo vitola which retails for a little over $12. The Prensado is a full-bodied smoke with great flavors. It's heavy on the leather and spice in the first third. Sweet tobacco flavors mixed with pepper dominate into the second third. One problem however -- the damn thing wouldn't stay lit. It went out three times and required multiple touch ups. The flavors of the Prensado are right up my alley, but the erratic burn really turned me off. For $12, there's better cigars out there.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I love the 9's and the t-52's. It's hard for me to choose a favorite. Right now i am on a #9 binge but that will change to a t-52 binge shortly :) both great cigars.

I like the mini-reviews! I too LOVE the LP#9, but have been smoking the T-52 a lot more often. I haven't had the Prensado yet, but will be on the lookout for them when they inevitably go on special at some point.

Both cigars are great! I loved the immediate spice that the T52 throws out. I was almost taken aback by its power in the first third. I don't buy many boxes of cigars, I'm more of a 5-pack guy because I like variety. But, I'll have to pick up a box of the T52s.

I was taken aback by how wonderful these sticks are. The Liga line is fast becoming my favorite. If you enjoyed the No. 9, you should definitely try the T52. It's a full force pepper and spice blast in the first third, then the flavors transition into chocolately, coffee deliciousness as the cigar burns. One of the better cigars on the market in my opinion.
