Stick:
Murcielago Belicoso (52 x 5.5)
Gifted to me by Clint, thanks Clint!!!
Bastid hit me with a few of these after I mentioned I had always wanted to try them. Well, here's my first dance with em.
Price: ?
Drink of choice: Water
Construction:
10/10
Looks AWESOME. It is packed really well. There are no major veins. You will notice the very unique shape with the box press and head shape. The band is also very attractive.
Burn: 10/10
Razor sharp, even in the extreme wind today.
Draw: 9/10
Perfect all the way through. But, smoke production - while good- could have been slightly better.
Ash:
Quite dark, and fell in roughly 1 inch chunks.
Body:
Medium-Full bodied, and ditto for strength.
Cold Draw: Mostly tobacco, with hints of cocoa and hay. Excellent draw
Flavors:
First Third:
Lots of black coffee and tobacco. Spice comes through the nose. I'm getting hints of a sweet tea flavor probably every other puff. The smoke is very smooth, with a long finish. There's a slight caramel flavor on the finish. Man this thing is good!
The second third:
Started off a lot like the first. But, a lot more spice and chocolate is coming through. Notes of wood are occurring. This thing just keeps getting better!
Final third: Flavors are transitioning a lot here. The first 2/3 flavors are somewhat here, but much more faded. Now we have two incredible flavors. I can only describe the first as a chili sauce, but sweet. The other... is not exactly a meaty flavor. But, it is more like a steak au jus sauce. I smoked this baby to the nub! The last two flavors alone were worth it, and I'm still drooling thinking about them. Hands down one of the best smokes I've had in a while. Thanks a million Clint!!
Worth the money?: If it's 12 bucks or less, yes!
Would I recommend it?: Yes yes yes! Buy as many as you can!
Total smoking time: Just under an hour and a half
Thanks for reading!
