JC Newman Cigars
Country- Nicaragua
Length- 4 3/4″
Ring Gauge- 50
Filler- Nicaragua
Binder- Nicaragua
Wrapper- Ecuador
Price – $21.00 for a bundle of 15
Appearance – 10 points
For the price of each each stick I was very impressed with the quality of the wrapper.
Construction – 10 points
The construction was adequate. A very even burn and no draw issues. The ash was grayish but held on for about an 1 inch to 1.5 inches.
Flavor – 25 points
This is the only draw back to this cigar. The flavor was not overbearing but it was not very appealing either. If you had to describe the flavor the one that stood out was a toasty burnt taste. Overall not bad but I find myself reluctant to come back to it.
Value – 15 points
I think this cigar is priced right and I don’t think I would pay any more for them.
Total points – 60
A decent everyday cigar. More suited to doing yard work or some other task. I would purchase this cigar again.
