Has anyone sampled recent production RASS? I purchased another office humidor, and would love to fill It with these. However, last year I had a box from '01 that turned very, very sick. TIA. :pimp2:

Just recently tried some 05's. Among the darkest oiliest wrappers I have ever seen.

Tasted fantastic to me. Nice and strong.

I'd go for it if you can find them.

Strange that 01's would still be sick. They should be well past their sick period by now.

I haven't had an aged RASS and I know that they need significant time to develop, but the ones I have had I have not enjoyed at all.
That's the same boat I am in Mike. One year of age is the most I've experienced and did not like it. Someday.

I've had some pretty "dull" RASS that were aged a couple of years. For some reason I think these are very finicky cigars that you need to catch at the right time or else you need to wait some more.

i just split a BOX of them with an OCT 04 date, and they were awesome. would've been better with more time, but i only had 6...

so, i split a cab... have only had 1 from that cab, another 04 production, and i think i just had it too soon after getting the cigars (within a month of sitting in my humi). was still good, but not as good as that box i split (yet).

If you can wait 5 years, they might just become your favorite Robusto. I've got a Cab I've split in half so I can hopefully enjoy them a bit sooner.
I've taken 25 and put them in a CoRo box all tied up and pretty, while the other 25 are either loose in my singles shelves or being used as filler in other DBs so they mature faster. Hopefully my Cab will be ready in 5, the DB's in 3 and the singles in 2. I'm trying to work it out that way at least.

I own a 50 cab. It's broken up into seperate places, but I don't have the actual cab though. I'm planning another cab purchase very soon though. You can never have enough of these IMO

I do not like young RASS but the ones I now have will be having there 3rd b-day in AUG and they are awsome. Wish I hadn't smoked them so quick when they were younger. (what I mean by younger was after 18 months)
