Wb and me Ratzilla Redux
Prelight:
Wb sweetness
Jfire: raisins (dried fruit) T52ish taste/very faint spice.
Start 9pm
1st puffs:
Tons of smoke, room filled with sweetness (molasses).
Wb smoother then last year right off the bat. Anise flavor. Peaty ness scotchy oily.
Jfire: very light spice, molasses very fragrant in ambient aroma. Room aroma plus 10
1st 3rd.
Jfire: oil coats the mouth. Oil coats the wrapper. Room aroma plus 11. Woodyness, spice raisen/molasses.
Wb: I'm almost overwhelmed with the amount of oil that's on my palate right now.
End of 1st: tons of black pepper and heavy smoke.
2nd:
Sweetness, slight coffee, raisin esq, ash loads of smoke. Oily goodness that absolutely coats the mouth. Don't retrohale for the love of god!
3rd:
Both: Tons of smoke, mineral quality charred tobacco and burnt molasses. But both of us think this cigar had somewhat muted it pre2012 flavors. Ie still there but not as full flavored. Still great but not as good as previous.
Wb: big nicotine kick in final 3rd.
Jfire : I was expecting some of the flavors to hold on a bit more then they did.
End time 1030 pm
Final impressions:
Still a grat cigar. Maybe past it's peak. Oily sob!!!! Fragrant but flavors just were not as pronounced as a year ago.... Smoke them now and don't hoard them boys!
