When I think they're not reading correctly. Once or twice a year, maybe change of season with drastic weather changes

About every 6 months. I always use a Boveda Calibration Kit.

I rarely do. So many years using Boveda and several hygrometers. I don't even worry about it anymore with a wine frig. I have three hygrometers and they read between 63% and 67% depending on the day. Perfect no matter which one is correct.

I have 3 also in my wineador. I use Heartfelt 65% humidity tubes and a couple of 65% Boveda packs in the drawers and I get RH readings of 63-67% also.
