Regional Release Germany Question

So whatta ya think? 800 a cab for the boli's and 270 a box for the por la lonsdales. Limited # of boxes made, with each having its own # printed on the box. This is killing me....One part of me wants to go for broke and buy as many of each as I can, throw them in the humi, and wait the 2 or so years for the price to double and sell 1/2 and keep the other half. If you look at what has happened with the other special releases, VR Jubs, Boli GM, you can see that they are reselling on the open market for roughly twice what they were bought for in 2003. My wife thinks I am nuts, I think I am nuts, and I totally know that this could backfire and then I would just have a shitload of cigars to age and smoke:eyebrow: Wonder if this is what other older fog's did with davi's and dunhills?

So what do yall think? What have yall seen as far as pricing on resales of the past regional releases, and have any of those regional releases reappeared as a regular production smoke?

ps I know this hobby shouldn't be about investments/returns but it is hard not to notice trends like this.

muuuum lonestar....

really guys based on the past small # special smokes doubling in price do you think these will as well? Or are the bolis in the cab to high price as it is to move up in value? I think ppl are down on the bolis but aren't thinking long-term. Sure they cost more than the other regional releases but you get a cab of 50 not just 25.

I think the cab definetly makes it more appealing. This is kind of like stocks, except you know it should never drop below what you paid, worse case scenario. If you have the extra money and I know you have the space, then go for it. It has worked out great for others before.

I think we might see the Por La Lonsdales again. Might want to hold off on those.

But the Bolis will probably appreciate nicely the nect few years. Even if they only gain 15-20% over 2 years, that's still a nice return.
