I won the above mentioned rifle at a RMEF banquet and have no use for it. I'm thinking of selling it and trying to come up with a price.

Composit Houge OD green stock and stainless barrel. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Dave

I have had good success buying and selling there. Just make sure you are very familiar with the laws in your area. And be prepared for some bs offers

I'll have to look into it. Have a few to sell actually. Long guns are easy in MN for private party sales

I've found a bunch of them for $840, all new. I don't see the point of asking for $900 when they're out there cheaper and available. It's not a rare gun so you need to consider how fast you want to sell it. Being you didn't pay for it, I'd say offer it up at $750 and it'll sell faster than if you start high and play the haggle game.
Put it up on Gunbroker.com IMO.

Other option - take it to a local gun shop and work a trade for something you do want.

Gun stores NEVER give you the better end of the deal. They will pay you no more than what they pay for them unless it is an extremely rare gun. I would be suprised to see them give you more than $500 for it. Some gun shops let you consign guns but that can be a waiting game. Your best bet is put it on an auction site or sell locally.

If you sell it on gunbroker skip putting a reserve. MANY buyers won't bid on reserve auctions and some even filter it out of their searches. Being it's a bolt action rifle and not anything restricted by States you can ship the gun to any FFL in any State. Just state in the auction that the buyer needs to make sure HIS FFL accepts guns from non FFL's. State that if HIS FFL only accepts from other FFL's that there will be a fee for it. You can ship the gun via UPS or FED Ex but they are more expensive than shipping through USPS ( 100% legal for you to mail LONG guns to FFL's..not to the person who won the auction lol). Gunbroker has all the info. I sell & buy off there a lot.
